RK Brushworks completed three murals at the new Ronald McDonald House on the Sanford campus in Sioux Falls, SD. The first was the Woodland Animals mural in the playroom on the main floor. The second mural was the Treehouse mural on the lower level in the playroom area located in the family room. This area had five small windows which we turned into the inside of a treehouse. We continued the tree top theme with the Hot Air Ballon mural in the game room in the lower level. Each balloon has people inside the basket.
In 2011, RK Brushworks was back at the Ronald McDonald House to help with 365 Giving Tree project. The committee wanted a tree with a child that they could add leaves to. When someone donated a dollar a day for a year, then they would have their loved one's name on the leaf. Photos of this mural are at the bottom.
Michael Payne, host of HGTV's "Designing for the Sexes," was in Sioux Falls on October 3, 2009 for the opening of the newly constructed Ronald McDonald House.
